The dentist that George meets influences him on becoming a doctor because of everything they’ve talked about together during his appointment. George is so amazed by everything that the dentist is using, that the dentist explained every tool to him of what he was using and it had led George to his dreams of becoming a dentist.
The dentist influenced George to become a dentist but explaining to George how all the different equipment is used. Also telling him that if he puts his mind to it he can accomplish his goal of becoming a dentist some day. Also telling him to stay out of the streets.
The dentist that influenced George was telling George explained tools and how to use them. Then he taught him the names of the teeth and how to count and classify them. This was showing George how to become a dentist and how to show he could have a dream. George then was amazed of what the dentist showed him and told him about being a dentist and now found a dream that he wanted. It courage George to stay off the streets and never let a smart kid dream get snatched away.
George explains his infatuation with dentistry on page four. He talks about the dentist that made a huge impact on his life, the dentist who got him interested in dentistry. This Dentist explained this to him, took time to show him what you do this, and what you do with that. This dentist was the first and only person to show George that there is a life outside of the projects. In a lot of ways, the dentist saved George’s life. I for one have never had someone’s career open my eyes like the dentist’s career did for George.

No one ever influenced me in this way.

One way that someone has influence me is by telling me that I am the best basketball player in high school and that no one can stop me and I take those words and I think of how to use them on the court.
As George’s curiosity widens he realizes the doctor’s influence on him. Once you start asking one question the rest just follows. It seemed as though the doctor was amused as much as George was with his interest. The doctor showed he was eager by explaining his tools, teaching him the names, numbers, counting and classifying teeth. Not only that, he also quizzed him to see how much he’d remember. In like manner, after his appointment was over. It left him feeling excited and anxious for the next one. Just like George I had that feeling. Ever since I was younger I always loved being with kids, playing with them, laughing, and making them feel better. Not long ago, as I was getting my physicals done I met a Pediatrician her name was Sanya. I’d ask her questions about her job and with each answer she smiled. We talked for a long period of time. One question I asked was, “What do you like about your job the most?” she replied, “The feeling you get when you meet teenagers like you. It’s a great feeling that you’ll be able to experience one day. To do something you love and inspire others.” She looked at me, smiled and said, “Don’t ever be dragged down, stand up and stay focus” I smiled and told her that meant a lot to me, thanked her and left with my dad.

When George was eleven, he went to dentist to get braces, and he was very curious. He asked the dentist a lot of question. The dentist saw how curious George was so he explained every dentist tool and how it's use to George. The dentist was nice, so he must somehow influenced George life. In my life, my brother influenced my life the most, because he taught me a lot of thing.
When George was growing up he had nothing good to influence him. When he went to his visit to the dentist to see if they could get him braces his dentist showed him the tools and how to use them. He was so inspired by how the dentist was and how he explained how many teeth he had and things to keep him interested he realized that he wanted to become in life. A person who inspired me in my life was my mother. She would tell me when I was little that whatever I put my mind to I can accomplish and to never give up on my dreams.

When George goes to the dentist as a young man he is nervous and scared like all little kids are but as he starts to warm up the dentist makes him feel that dentistry is more of a fun job then a mean and boring as the dentist goes on with the check up he answers all georges questions in a poleat manor and then quizes him on all of the tools and teeth which gives him the curiousity of wanting to become a dentist when he grows up by the dentist being soo nice and informing him on what his job is about he influenced George in a positive way to become a dentist.
The influence the dentist has on the young boy George’s life is very critcial in this selection and effects Georges’s future on becoming a doctor and the effects it has on the young boy george is good. The dentist that George meets taught him everything such as how many teeth you have, the tools, she made hime excited everytime he came there and taught him everything he wondered about this experiece made him interested in dentistry. My Dad influenced me in this way similar to George. How my Dad influenced me is he is trying to get me into the military and his telling me good things about it, so I can travel the world not just live in the city for my whole life, this hasn’t gotten my full interest yet but im kind of getting there in interest to getting in the military.
